Kittens

I use space at my husband’s animal hospital for a lot of my “studio” portrait sessions.  When finished with client photos, I often photograph the animals in our adoption center.  Here are some adorable kittens.

Due to a badly mangled leg, this little kitty had to have an amputation.  She’s healing nicely, learning to get around on three legs and may already have a home.

These three boys are from the same litter.  Yes…even the little orange kitty.  He’s lagging way behind his brothers.  He has a condition called megaesophagus which causes him to regurgitate his food.  It’s a tough condition for such a little kitty.  His future is still a bit uncertain.

His brothers on the other hand are healthy, active, happy kitties hoping for a wonderful home.

The orange kitty preferred cuddling with Sarah over playing.  He’s such a little lover boy.  We’re hoping he starts to show some improvement and will eventually be healthy enough for adoption.

Anyone interested in adopting a kitten or one of the adult cats in our adoption center should contact Pinellas Animal Hospital at 727-546-0005.

Doris - Laurie, Debbie told me to look at the Kittens, not that i can Adopt one, Hoppi don’t get along with Cats and we are always on the move. But i wanted to tell you Hoppi has Megaesophagus she is doing fine with that, she is now 9 years old, she still has is, but no problem with it and she was the same as that little kitten, just wanted to let you know. We are in NC, see you in the Winter, Doris.June 9, 2010 – 9:36 am

LME - Thanks for stopping by Doris. I’m happy to report the little orange kitty is improving. He’s still small (under 2 lbs) but is gradually gaining weight and hasn’t been vomiting. The staff at the clinic has been taking great care of him. I remember when Hoppy was having his challenges. It’s amazing how resilient these little critters can be! Enjoy the cooler NC mountain weather! We’re firmly in the grip of the Florida summer heat and humidity.June 9, 2010 – 9:49 am
