Thanks Kurt. It’s not the type of place that reveals itself immediately as would a mountain range or ocean view. It requires the observer to get out of the car and put themselves in the landscape. That’s when the beauty is revealed. Almost like a secret.December 22, 2008 – 9:37 pm

I am currently looking for photos of Blackwater River State Forest to feature on a web page we’re building that focuses on our replating efforts there. I was hoping to get some extra copies of the calendar from the editor so I could send you one. Unfortunately, I only have two copies myself. She’s checking to see if she can find some more to send. For anyone else reading this, Otis is the adorable English Bulldog puppy (Mr. February) in the calendar and is also featured on the blog header slide show. You can’t miss him up there! He is one of the sweetest pups I’ve ever had the honor of shooting.
